The Story of India
Using the topic that has been selected for you (or you and your partner) start by visiting the page on the Story of India (http://www.pbs.org/thestoryofindia/gallery/index.html)
For most topics you will find a short, but information filled, written description of your topic along with short videos and other links.
From that page you should expand out to find more information.
As always, Wikipedia may be used as a place to start, but not as a reference.
Your Weebly page you must contain 5 things.
1.You must provide a brief history of your topic. This should be no longer than 500 words, but no shorter than 300.
2. You must provide a traveler’s description of the topic or monument. In other words, if you are giving advice to someone who will visit this place or experience this part of culture, what would you tell them? Should they pack specific clothing or be aware of certain parts of culture shock?
3.You must include at least 5 distinct pictures. These pictures must have a caption describing what they are. Choose carefully to cover as much as you can. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.
4.You must provide a map. This can be achieved by inserting a Google map with the Weebly tools or by finding a map to paste to your page. This map does not count as one of the 5 images. If your topic is a particular monument or city then you should have no trouble finding the map. If your topic is more cultural try to find a map that shows how that culture spread or what parts of S. Asia that part of culture exists in.
5. You must include at least three references outside of 'The Story of India' homepage. Put these references at the bottom of the page and be sure to title the section, 'References' or 'Citations'
