Indian Agriculture
A Brief History
Indian agriculture can date back to 9000 BCE, when people started growing plants and keeping animals. Then in middle ages the Indian agriculture took a great leap forward (not the communist kind), canals were wide spread in India to irrigate crops. Then they started to manage the land and water to upgrade agriculture to an whole new level. Now India is the Top second in agriculture, and 60% of the people are imployed in agriculture. Nowadays agriculture is India's major economic source and if needed can be self sufficient. In other words if needed they can produce their own food to eat.

Agro-Tourism
Agro-Tourism is not any thing like Disney Land it is an extra business that the Local farmers do to earn extra tips. The local farmers would show you a tour around their farm and show you how they work in the farm. OR sometimes it IS organised, but instead of an hotel you will be living with an actual farming family and experience actual farming life and enjoy native food, festivals, and etc. Some times you will be allowed to explore nearby rain forests if you want to, and always bring a rain coat if you decide to travel at the Monsoon (which is around June to September. It will be an interesting time to visit so you can experience the monsoon but beware floods can happen during the monsoon season. If you are interested to do an agro-tour then remember to come on September the 1st at that time it will be the Ganesh festival were Lord Ganesha will make his appearance to his devotees, and the Ganesh festival lasts 10 days.
