Section 1. History of Delhi
Delhi's history has been from 8th century to the independence of India in 1947, and is the third largest city in the WORLD! Delhi is called in many names including the National Terrorist of Delhi (NCT) and Indraprastha witch is the name for Delhi in the olden times. It is 1,483 square km2 long, and has 16753235 of population. Delhi has lots of accidents and kills. Delhi wasn't the capitol before. When British colonized India, they moved the capitol for Calcutta, which is now called the (Kalkuta) to Delhi. It is (28, 36'50''N 77, 12' 32''E).
The history of New Delhi starts from Indraprastha, then goes to the Anagpal Tomar. He was the first to put the foundation stone of the major cities Delhi had. The next ruler which is Prithviraj Chauhan was affected alot in making the history of Delhi in India. He as also the last Hindu Emperor who ruled Delhi. Along with that came the Slave Dynasty, Khilji Dynasty,and finally led to independence. Lots of Religions were made there, and Delhi's history has lots of Kingdoms and Dynasties.
Delhi is very hot and humid thorough out the world. It is because of the Monsoon. The Monsoon brings tropical areas, and forests. Delhi has rainy season in September. Delhi is attracted mostly because of the Taj Mahal and different types of monuments the anceint people built in Delhi. Still, there are lots of tourists getting killed or kidnapped because of the 'army' certain people has like Bin Ladin.

Section 1. Qutub Minar, History of Delhi
There are lots of monuments and lots of ancient buildings left in Delhi to prove that these Dynasties had once claimed Delhi. Like the Qutub Minar, this pillar is 72.5 meters tall and has 14.32 meters of diameter. This pillar was established in the Slave Dynasty in 1199. Qutab Minar is built for a victory Qutubuddin Aibak wanted to celebrate in 1199 AD. Qutub Minar is that tallest monument in India or Delhi, and it has ancient Islamic characters carved. It got struck by a lightning, so the top is kind of destroyed, but Indians in Delhi fix it. Now, people use Qutub Minar for Religious purpose. People uses the ancient history carved inside the pillar to practice their religions.

If you are trying to go to Delhi in Summer or to see the monuments , be sure to bring your passport, a sun screen, and a hat. Be sure to be with a guide or be positive about the waste around to streets and the cows.
There is a 2 long line which is divided from Indian and Tourist. Indian is really cheap for the entrance fee, but for tourist, people ask for expensive price. This happens to lots of places where you want to visit monuments.
You would need lots of rain proof jackets or shorts because when you go to Delhi in Summer, because of the monsoon, there will be a lot of rains, and it will be humid which means stickiness. You can get malarias in Delhi because of the climate and the surrounding the location makes.
Also, be sure to be aware of stealing and robbing. Lots of people try to steal valuable stuff away from handbag, purse, name it. Because India is crowded, people use this as an advantage when stealing, so put valuable stuff in a safe place. Especially in Indian Gate at night. There are lots of robbing and over 1000 materials stolen from the tourists.
India Gate, which is also known as the Rajpath is a memorial for the soldier's death in Afghan War and World War 1. Over 90,000 soldiers are honored in the India Gate, and it is the most famous attraction in india.

Lotus Temple
Lotus Temple is also 1 of the most famous tourist attraction in Delhi, India. Lotus Temple is shaped like a lotus, so people call the temple Lotus Temple. This is made for Baha'i's House worship. Over 8000 to 10000 people and tourist come to see this temple or to worship EACH DAY.
Red Fort
Red Fort is made when Shah Jahan moved his capital from Agra to Delhi. It is For defense for the countries around India. The Red Fort is made by the Ustad Ahmad Lahori, who also had built the Taj Mahal. Red Fort is 1.5 miles long, covers 125 acres of Indian land, and 16 meters tall.
Jantar Mantar
Jantar Mantar is a museum that shows people 3D sculpture and in there, there are lots of astronomical instruments. It was built at 1727 to 1734. Jai Singh hte second made it when he momade his new capital of Jaipur.
