Buddhism in India
Section I: History
A picture of Siddhartha Gautama
When young Siddhartha Gautama reaches the age of twenty-six, he, the prince of one of the ruling house in Nepal, abandons his comfortable and royal home, and the worries of his wife and son, to become a wandering ascetic. He is trying to follow a pattern that is very common in India at this period of time, and this is when the stubbornness of a priest-dominated Hinduism are causing many people tp seek a religion that's more out of personal.
Just a few years ago, in a nearby region, a man by the name of Vardhamana has done exactly the same-with eternal results in the form of Jainism.
Buddhism was originated from India, than it was transformed into two groups: one spreads in the direction of North, another towards South. The one towards North spreads into Tibet, Mongolia, China, Korea, and Japan; and the one towards South spreads into some parts of Southeast Asia: Burma (Myanmar), Thailand, Cambodia, and Sri Lanka.
Buddhism already has a historical record of more than 2500 years. Siddhartha Gautama has more than 2500 followers when he started this religion, so they kept spreading this religion even after Siddhartha Gautama's death. Buddhism usually speaks for "empty".
Then, after Hinduism was discovered, people who believes in Buddhism in India slowly die out. So now Hinduism replaced the vast majority of Buddhism that are once in India.
The group which spreads in the direction of North in Tibet slowly transforms from the religion of Buddhism into Lamaism, from which they follows their leader, Dalai Lama, whom received the Nobel Prize of Peace when he fled from Tibet to India and form a government in exile.
When the group reaches China, it goes with China's local religion - Taoism, and Confucianism. During the East Han Dynasty, these three religious groups spread throughout China, therefore, they became the three major religions that spreads through the folks.
When Buddhism enters China, the Buddhists recommend each other to become a vegetarian, which a vast majority of them did follow, but when compared to when Buddhism in India before Hinduism was discovered, they don't in fact abstain from eating meat at all. Meanwhile, the Buddhists in China whether become a monk or a layman. A monk has to 1) dharma 2) be vegetarian 3) cannot marry; but when a monk is located at Japan, there is no doubt that they still need to dharma, but they could choose to be a vegetarian and whether to marry.
Now Buddhism is not only spread in the countries mentioned above, but are also spread worldwide.

Section II: Traveler's Description
If you ever go to see the buddhism in India, be aware to see monks in the temples they guard as sacred. The monks wear "Kesa", a buddhist priest's stole. It looks kind of unusual compared to what we wear, so do not be fightened or shocked. If you ever wanted to enter any of those buddhist temples, you must first have one thing, a kind soul, if you don't, it might be very hard for the head Buddha to bless you for your behavior and character. It is always a good thing to be blessed rather than not, isn't it? So please keep in mind that if you did the right thing and you know it, your "birth shall enter paradise", this is a way of saying Buddhism always says.

Section VI: Short Description on Other Topics
The real Buddhist symbol is not like this...
See below...
There are other religions similar to Buddhism. For example, Islam. For Islam, it is connected to Buddhism because the Muslims pray in the direction of the Mecca twice a day, which is very similar to Buddhism. Buddhists usually, but not required to, pray to statues or pictures of Siddhartha Gautama twice a day. Apart from the times of praying, one is compulsory, one is voluntary, and for what they pray to, this is one of their similarities. They are also similar because they are both originated from the earlier centuries: Buddhism in around 5~6 centuries B.C., Islam in around 7 centuries A.D.
And also Hinduism, for example, is similar and is connected to Buddhism in many ways too. Like both of these two religions originated from a long time ago, but they are different in this way because Buddhism originated far earlier than Hinduism. Buddhism was originated in around 5~6 centuries B.C. while Hinduism was originated in around 13 centuries A.D. Like Hinduism, Buddhism is also a polytheistic religion, but not as widely differed as Hinduism.
