Peshawar is a place that had been a big battle between India and Pakistan, about the religion differences between the two countries. Peshawar is in Pakistan, it is one of the most beautiful and colorful places in Pakistan, and the capital city of North West Frontier Province. It almost bordered the border of Afghanistan . It use to be the capital of Pakistan in 58 BC. It might be one of the most ancient city in Pakistan. From Peshawar you can see the Khyber pass from there. Zaheer-ud-Din Babur crossed the Khyber Pass in the Sixteen Century on his way from Kabul, and ordered to strengthen the Fort of Peshawar known as Bala-Hisar. In the past Peshawar had been known as Pushkalwati. Peshawar was taken by the Turkish in 988BC. Peshawar is also the most polluted city in Pakistan.
The airport of Peshawar is a 25 minute drive away from the center of Peshawar. You also can reach Peshawar by train from Karchi(36hr)or from Quetta(25hr)`Khyper Pass 16 km from Peshawar. The good thing is that there is a lot to see. But it is really noisy there to. The main place to go is the Peshawar Museum in Peshawar cantt, the old Peshawar city, the Qisa Khawani bazaar, Sadar bazaar, the spectecular architecture of Masjid Mohaabt Khan in old city, the Fort Bala-Hissaar, the guns industry at Darra Adam Khael.It is really hot there in Summer so you should wear T-shirt and shorts over there, bring some sunscreen along or else when you go back your friends won’t know you because you all turned brown. The warm season lasts from April 26 to September 10 with an average daily high temperature above 34°C. The hottest month of the year is June , with an average high of 39°C and low of 27°C. The cold season lasts from December 3 to February 26 with an average daily high temperature below 21°C. The coldest day of the year is January 3, with an average low of 5°C and high of 18°C, so in the cold season it is not that cold.
